Our website provides information on funding resources for all families impacted by Autism. Our parent support group works one-on-one with off-reserve First Nations, Inuit, Métis, Non-Status, and children with Autism.
Four Directions Autism is a parent support group. As a 100% volunteer-based group, we do not charge any fees, only best practices. We are not a charity or not-for-profit. We do not accept or solicit donations.
We are a volunteer-based group that assists Indigenous families for free. There is no cost for families looking for support. We offer a free 30-minute session with our parent volunteers for families directly.
Our Chair can provide competency training and consultations to many organizations. Due to the number of requests from not-for-profits, non-governmental organizations, charities, social enterprises, governments, and academic researchers, we will prioritize requests from Indigenous families first. Please email terms of reference or request our rate sheet.
What is Autism?
The National Autistic Society defines Autism as a lifelong developmental disability that affects how a person communicates with and relates to other people and how they experience the world around them.
